Switching between weeks marks a read check-in as new again

When I mark check-ins as "read" and then click on a different week within the check-in tab (for example, a week earlier), the status of the check-ins for the current week reverts to "new," and I have to mark them as read again.

However, if you mark them as read and leave the tab, they remain marked as read.
