Saving new food items is bugged

When I enter a new product and then click “Request Verification,” I get a message saying that the request failed. If I then try to click the checkmark in the top-left corner, it suddenly says that the product already exists. So somewhere in the meantime—after I enter it—the product is already being saved. This isn’t working quite right.
